We should all prepare now for the inevitability of death.

I started putting together this resource (In Case of Death)

because my husband has no idea what accounts we have,

what bills need to be paid, or where to find important documents.  I have watched spouses, mothers, and other loved ones of the deceased, struggle to pull together all the needed items during their time of grief.

We can help make our departure easier for those we leave behind by listing our assets, sharing our funeral wishes, and documenting important information - all accessible in one place.

My Story

HBV - Sandy BW 1 changed 150px.jpg

Part of this life includes dying.   We all die.

I believe that life is truly a gift, given from our Lord in Heaven, to glorify Him

and to make this life a little easier for those around us.

And yet that topic, death, is not talked about, not discussed freely.  It makes people uncomfortable.  Even when death is apparent and soon to come, many deny the inevitable, yet always certain, outcome.  Very few prepare for death.

I have lost many loved ones including grandparents, my mother, my father, my step-mom, my brother-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers. My involvement varied from full and part time caregiver, to occasional visitor. I count it a privilege to have been a part of their life and a part of the dying process with many of them.

The purpose of this website, Going Gracefully, is to approach death in a practical way to make the experience easier for families and indeed the best process possible for the person who is dying.

I want to help people Go Gracefully.

This is such a great idea.  I would have no idea about most of these items if my wife died!  Money well spent for peace of mind.
